From the mouth of the Editor:

The Best Video Games in The Universe is a PREMIUM online videogame magazine in which PREMIUM content is being written by a group of PREMIUM staff writers who while away their shortening days under the watchful lamps embedded amongst the panels of the office's chip board ceiling; and, should they chose to spend their recreational hours outside, might see, once in a while, a soft rain gathering around the street light across the car park. This premium thingy runs concurrently with other thingys which will no doubt do something irreparable to where we all live.

‘Why spend one’s time talking about videogames?’ I asked the bemused thirty something sitting opposite me on the train – gliding back through the countryside on its way home to Bristol. He couldn’t reply with anything close to a satisfactory answer, merely a confused noise and a certain look. And I started to wonder, in those long seconds held between us, whether he’d in fact ever played videogames enough to spend his time talking about them. I feared that I’d assumed something which was false; that I’d been duped somewhere along the road and the man starring back at me wasn’t who I’d been lead to believe; that I was adrift... “Pardon?” he asked. I apologised, saying I’d been lost in thought. I awkwardly slid my legs out from under the table-seat where we sat and collected my things. Sorry – I apologised again.

Let’s just leave that question alone shall we. It’s just that now whenever I think about it I see that man sat opposite me and shudder at the thought that I should ever feel so terribly embarrassed again in my life.

The Best Videogames in The Universe are in fact just ordinary videogames. We, at our Premium offices here, apologise for any misinformation regarding the contents of this Premium online magazine.
